How We Work

Mission Statement

  • RSF believes that all humans should be given equal opportunities to nurture growth and creativity.
  • It believes in the religion of humanity, rather than organized religion.
  • “Sanatan” is its original form doesn’t belong to any cult, caste, creed, it is eternal and for all. One can even be an atheist and still be a “Hindu”. There should always be room for thoughts contrary to ours. The concept being of a “seeker” “open” and “closed” to new ideas, beliefs and systems.
  • RSF has a deep desire to promote inter-religious harmony, through seminars, knowledge exchanges, and travel.
  • RSF would like to reduce the impact of technology on modern society and develop a new system, not based on greed, and encourage people to go back to nature and their roots. Roots are important. We do not believe in changing the religion that you were born into. Spiritual practices can be however incorporated in daily lives to help growth and promote well-being.
  • RSF wishes to help India achieve its goal of a “Vishwa Guru” or a teacher of the world through its ancient systems and knowledge of health, well-being and self-realization.
  • RSF wishes to improve the living standards of the people of India in ways that can have minimum impact on the environment and in sustainable ways.

RSF wishes to take forward the ideals, visions and thoughts of Late Dr. Ramanand Sagar, who was a great human, and a sincere believer in the good of humanity.

There are so many NGO’s, how is RSF different?

RSF has a very holistic approach to its development work. It is not shy of being associated with the rich, ancient culture of India and drawing inspiration from it at the same time shedding concepts that are not relevant in todays times.
Ramanand Sagar had a deep impact with his cinema and writings on the soul of India. We do not wish for his name to disappear and become irrelevant.
We hope that we can make a change and leave some great legacy behind, like our inspirational founder.
